The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the large range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The provider stage created for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In SRD this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the website servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
